CUBA MOURNS THE DEATH OF THEIR EX-LEADER, Fidel Castro

Fidel Castro, aged 90 whose death was announced late Friday has brought about a country-wide distress as many of the Cuban community express their sympathy and deep sadness over the death of their Ex-leader.

Lately in the country with respect to the death of Fidel Castro, flags all over the country have been flying at half-mast as a 90 days mourning is being observed.

From Monday, people will be able to pay respects before the ashes of the 90-year-old are taken to Santiago de Cuba where he launched his bid for power was held.

Ironically, in the US city of Miami, however, where many anti-Castro Cuban exiles and their families have settled celebrations were booming over the death of this 'Prestige man' to many other people.

Though some world leaders have been paying tribute to the 20th-Century icon, not surprising enough, US President-elect Donald Trump said Castro had been a "brutal dictator". which could be true.

Castro came to power in 1959 and ushered in a Communist revolution, defying the US for decades.
His supporters viewed him as a man who stood up to America during the Cold War and returned Cuba to the people. His critics, however, called him a dictator.
